This is my cat, Turmeric! My roommates and I adopted him in April of this year. We were originally supposed to get a kitten from one of my friends, but it didn’t work out so instead we decided to adopt a cat. We set up an appointment to meet him at Philly PAWS, and when we met him he was so cute and chill that we decided we’d adopt him.
Previously, Turmeric lived on the streets of Philly. He was taken in and neutered (that’s why his ear is clipped- so other shelters wouldn’t try to neuter him again), then released back onto the streets. Then, he was found with an injured leg and was taken in by Philly PAWS. He’s also missing 4 teeth. After being brought back to full health he was put up for adoption, and now he lives with us!
He loves playing with his toys, being pet, and eating treats. Recently, I’ve been trying to bring him around the apartment building so he can get out of our apartment more.
